How do we obtain a wristband or do we have to do it upon arrival at the airport and do you need written evidence? Thankyou

Great video showing how a simple day can be a long and expensive one for people with disabilities. Its disgraceful to see the taxi drivers attitute towards the wheelchair user( discriminatory) and wasnt at all helpful, nor informative( if the cost was going to be 50 Euros or pounds he ought to tell him before he set off).

If you have the job for this beast, I'm sure it's worth its weight. It would be good to see some available at outdoor adventure / off-road leisure centres.

This always cheers me up!

Most over-bed tables have castors, and are clearly designed to be easily operated from outside the bed, rather than inside it. This looks like a better solution to enable a frail person to be able to access drinks, etc. as and when they want. There's still a gap in the market for something similar for profiling beds though.

If you don't have your own custom-built mirror hat (love it!) I suggest you search online for Flexible Long Arm Clamp Holder Phone 50mm - and use the 'include description' button. Buy a couple, and you can then set up mirror and torch light where you need them.

I'm wondering if this would help, Ian?

A note about Coasthopper buses from http://www.norfolkgreen.co.uk/about/index.aspx: Our investment in our fleet means that virtually all of our passengers travel on modern buses without steps and with special areas on board for wheelchairs and buggies. At busy times our driver may ask you to fold down your buggy when on board for safety reasons, and passengers in wheelchairs have priority over this area at all times. We are unable to accept bikes or mobility scooters are also turned away because of their size, weight and instability when the bus is cornering. A guide to taking buggies and wheelchairs on to our buses is available from drivers. In the extremely unlikely event that a step-free bus is unavailable we may have to substitute our one remaining older bus with steps. If you need to make sure your bus will be step-free, give us a call during Monday to Friday office hours on 01553 776980.

The phone number for DVLA Medical Group is 03007 906806. A relaxing cup of coffee is handy while you wait. Especially busy times are early afternoon apparently.
